Get in touch with us nowAccording to an annual wedding survey report, the average cost of a wedding venue in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2022 depended heavily on the booked day of the week. At just over eight thousand British pounds, Fridays and Saturdays were unsurprisingly the most expensive days. In comparison, couples marrying on Tuesdays or Wednesdays were spending an average of two thousand pounds less.
Friday and Saturday are the most popular days to get married, and when it comes to the time of year, most couples prefer spring and summer weddings. As a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its subsequent restrictions in the UK, there were far fewer weddings in England and Wales in 2020, especially during that year's spring and summer months.
On average, the price of a wedding in the United Kingdom has been steadily increasing, as well. Deciding which day to get married could be a big influence on the overall cost of a ceremony. When surveyed, people who got married in 2022 cited hiring a venue as the biggest cost associated with their special day. Looking at the costs associated with weddings in the United Kingdom that year, getting married on a Tuesday or Wednesday could offset the price of an entire wedding dress.
