Leading reasons for purchasing used automobiles in Japan 2023, by age group
According to a survey conducted in August 2023 in Japan, the leading reason for purchases of used automobiles among all age groups, except for those in their sixties, was commuting to work or school at around 40 percent. Other common reasons was to buy a used car to go shopping, and for leisure purposes.
