According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Hong Kong in November 2023, around 74 percent of respondents aged 55 and above said that when shopping, they find and purchase items in a physical store. This shopping behavior was less self-reported by the younger respondents.

Among a total of 3,234 respondents, 239 were between 16 and 24 years old, 903 were between 25 and 34 years old, 1,052 were between 35 and 44 years old, 573 were between 45 and 54 years old, and 467 were above 54 years old.
