Global revenue from royalty collections by member societies of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) increased sharply in 2022 compared to the previous year. After falling to 9.3 billion euros with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, revenue from arts and culture collections worldwide peaked at nearly 12.1 billion euros in 2022. That year, music repertoires alone generated roughly 10.8 billion euros.
