French digital regulator Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (ARCOM) has proposed to block pornographic websites that do not control accurately the age of their visitors without the need for a court intermediary. As of September 2023, approximately nine in 10 respondents across all examined age groups surveyed were favorable to the ARCOM enforcing the proposed law. Around 94 percent of respondents aged between 60 and 69 reported being favorable to this measure, while among users aged between 35 and 49 years the number represented around 89 percent of the respondents.
