In 2023, 56 percent of U.S. shoppers had their payment declined when purchasing online, a survey revealed. This was the highest value compared to other countries like China or the United Kingdom. False declines occur when a payment is wrongly rejected and the purchase transaction is denied, even tough it is not fraudulent.
