Children living in conflict-affected areas worldwide 2022, by country

Children are often among the most vulnerable group during armed conflicts. Looking at the number of children living within 50 kilometers of a conflict incident in 2022, Nigeria had by far the highest number at 66.5 million. This was nearly 60 percent of the country's children. That year, Save the Children ranked the Democratic Republic of the Congo as the worst country in the world for children in conflict.
