In 2023, the biggest issuer of sustainability bonds in the United States was the New York City housing department, with a bond value of almost two billion U.S. dollars. PNC Financial Services Group and Los Angeles Unified School District were the other two largest issuers, amounting to 1.3 and 1.2 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.
