In 2023, the combined value of sustainability bonds issued worldwide exceeded 100 billion U.S. dollars, but this figure represented a significant decrease compared to the previous year. Sovereign bonds made the largest contribution, accounting for approximately 21 percent of the total. Non-financial corporations came second, with a value of 23 billion U.S. dollars and accounting for 20 percent of total sustainability bonds issued.
