According to a survey conducted between September and October 2023, 42 percent of French people considered the fight against poverty and social exclusion should be prioritized by the European Parliament. Public health was also considered as a high priority by the respondents and was mentioned by 41 percent of them, followed by the action against climate change, brought up by 35 percent of those surveyed.
