The amount of Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital in the banking industry in Greece decreased overall between 2014 and 2024, despite some fluctuations. Even though the ratio increased to approximately 24.83 billion euros in the second quarter of 2024, it was still significantly below the peak value of over 34 billion euros recorded in the third quarter of 2016.
