In 2023, TikTok generated 3.8 billion U.S. dollars in consumer spending. This number adds to a previous total of more than six billion U.S. dollars, collected cumulatively since 2016. Overall, 2021 was the first time TikTok generated more than one billion U.S. dollars of consumer spending in a single year, and that number has continued to grow, almost doubling in 2022 and nearly reaching four billion in 2023.
