A survey from 2023 of audiologists and speech-language pathologists in the U.S. who had been certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association found that almost 30 percent of audiologists felt families with young children understood the importance of early detection of speech, language, and hearing issues when they first see them hardly or not at all.
