Why do Europeans abandon their online shopping carts? A widespread 2023 survey reveals that delivery costs are the prime reason for cart abandonment in Europe. Delivery making a product too expensive is reason enough to shop elsewhere for half of European shoppers. Payment is also an important criterion: 27 percent of Europeans cancel an online purchase because their preferred payment method is unavailable.
