From July 2022 to June 2023, around 22 percent of the network intrusions in the United States by Chinese nation-state or state-affiliated cyber threat actors were directed against the defense sector. A further 16 percent of cyber threats focused on information technologies, while the communications sector became the target for 13 percent of the cyber threats.
