According to a survey on global views on artificial intelligence (AI) in 2023, 84 percent of the respondents from Indonesia had a good level of understanding of AI, the highest share across the Asia-Pacific region. In contrast, 43 percent of Japanese respondents perceived their own understanding of AI as either very or somewhat good.
