In financial year 2023, the leading vessel operator on the national waterways in India was JSW Steel Limited, with 38 percent of the total traffic. It was followed distantly by JSW Dharamtar Port, at seven percent. During the same period, the total volume of goods transported on Indian national waterways was around 126.2 million metric tons.
