The sales volume of plant-based products in food retail in Italy in 2022 totaled nearly 345 million units. In that year, plant-based milk recorded the highest volume among food categories, accounting for nearly half of all sales at 164 million units. Plant-based meat followed with a sales volume of close to 65 million units.
