TV streaming and cable TV viewers in Canada 2024, by age

According to a survey from July 2024, the majority of TV streaming viewers in Canada were among adults between 35 and 54 years old, with 35 percent of people interviewed being born between 1970 and 1990. While baby boomers still watch traditional cable TV more than streaming content, Gen Z and millennials opt for online video platforms, such as Netflix or Disney+.
