U.S. perceived threat of China's development as a world power 1990-2023
According to a 2023 poll, 58 percent of Americans considered China's development as a world power a critical threat to the United States. Concern has continued to rise across the U.S. throughout the last decades, with only 33 percent considering China's development as a world power threatening in 2004.
