Number of employed people excluding those on unpaid leave in Israel 2023

In 2023, the number of employed people in Israel, excluding those on unpaid leave, reached just over 4.2 million. This was a slight increase compared to the previous year, 2022, which stood at over 4.16 million employees. Overall, there was a gradual increase in the number of employees during the period under review, with the exception of the year 2020. This could be explained by the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country and the measures taken by the government to combat the spread of the virus that year.
