In 2022, the majority of CEOs worldwide stated that changing customer demand and/or preferences was most likely to have the biggest impact on business profitability over the next 10 years. A further 37 percent of those surveyed stated that transition to new energy sources would have an impact on business profitability, behind technology disruptors such as AI with 49 percent.

Respondents were asked: "To what extent to do believe the following will impact (i.e. either increase or decrease) profitability in your industry over the next 10 years?"
