According to a survey conducted in the United States in December 2022, 36 percent of respondents aged 30 to 44 years thought that children who were social media influencers were very often exploited by their employers or guardians. Overall, 34 percent who belonged to the 45 to 64 year age group felt the same. Additionally, five percent of adults in the United States aged between 18 and 29 years said that young influencers were not exploited by those looking after them professionally or personally.
