According to a 2023 survey on public views on sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, 80 percent of respondents in Jordan believed that companies in the region lack corporate accountability in supporting sustainability and ethical practices.

Survey sample was equally distributed across six MENA countries: Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Qatar, and UAE.
Survey question was as follows: "To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statements? Companies in MENA lack in terms of supporting sustainability and ethical best practices."
