In a survey conducted across six Southeast Asian markets in October 2023, 48 percent of the respondents from the Philippines stated that they had a slightly negative sentiment towards cosmetic procedures. In contrast, 42 percent of Vietnamese respondents had a positive perception of cosmetic surgeries, with another eight percent feeling very positive towards them. Cosmetic procedures include treatments such as botox, dermal fillers, and laser treatment.
