For the Hajj pilgrimage of 2023, Saudi Arabia approved for 221 thousand Indonesian Muslims to enter the country in order to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. The Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca that is considered a mandatory religious duty by practicing Muslims.
