The most watched television show of all time in India as of August 2023 was the Ramanand production "Ramayan" with around 77 million impressions. The show's sequel, "Luv Kush", trailed second by a margin of 10 million impressions. The first three most watched television series in India were all devotional shows based on Indian mythology. Due to the dominance of the Hindi-speaking market, the list comprised primarily Hindi-language shows.
