As of March and April 2022, the leading reason for upgrading from 4G to 5G among Taiwanese mobile internet users was dissatisfaction with the speed of 4G networks. In addition, around 16 percent of respondents stated that they upgraded their mobile internet plan because the price was the same as the 4G contract.
