Biannual number of credit cards issued in Germany 2022-2023

In 2023, the number of credit cards issued in Germany rose by nearly 3.4 percent in the second half of the year. The number of credit cards in the first half of the year stood at nearly 6.4 million, which increased to around 6.6 million in the later half of the year. The ratio of credit cards per million individuals stayed roughly the same, at 0.08.
