As of December 31, 2022, there were almost 9.3 million registered voters in the Portuguese electoral register residing in Portugal, with Lisbon and Porto being the regions in the country with the highest numbers of voters. Those residing in Europe amounted to over 948 thousand, while registered voters residing outside of Europe were more than 630 thousand. In total, voters registered in the Portuguese electoral register numbered almost 10.9 million.
