A July 2023 survey analyzed the intention of global travelers to take a trip in 2024 to attend concerts, sporting events, or other cultural experiences. While 30 percent of Gen Z and Millennial respondents planned a trip of this type for the year ahead, just 12 percent of travelers from the Baby Boomer generation mentioned the same.

The survey was conducted in the following countries: China, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, United States.
The source defined the generations as follows: Gen Z = 16 to 26 years; Millennials = 27 to 42 years; Gen X = 43 to 56 years; Baby Boomers = 57 to 74 years.
