In 2022, 79 percent of payments employees in Saudi Arabia were men compared to 21 percent women, which was the same as in 2018. Between 2018 and 2022, there were always more male than female employees in the payments sector. 2020 and 2021 were the only years in which the percentage of female employees increased over previous years, with 2021 recording the largest share of women in the sector at 26 percent.
