According to 156 decision makers in the global mining and metals industry who participated in a survey from December 2022 to January 2023, a 38 percent share of the respondents stated that they expected the largest impact from continuing trade tensions on the global mining industry to be inflationary pressures on end-users. A further 27 percent share of the respondents expected speculative pressure on commodity prices to be the biggest impact of continuing trade tensions on the mining industry in 2023.
