In 2023, girl group NewJeans sold 4.4 million copies of their albums domestically. Consisting of five members, the group debuted in 2022 under ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE, the company behind BTS. The group debuted to great success, which is reflected in their sales so early on in their career. They were the best-selling female artist in the Korean music industry that year.
