In 2022, the youth unemployment rate in Palestine decreased by 5.5 percentage points since 2021. This decrease was preceded by an increase in youth unemployment rate during the Covid-19 pandemic. The youth unemployment rate refers to the share of the workforce aged 15 to 24 that is currently not working but is actively searching for work. It does not include the economically inactive population, such as the long-term unemployed or full-time students.
