In a survey conducted among Australian consumers in November 2023 regarding how they planned to pay for their Christmas shopping, just shy of 50 percent of those surveyed indicated that they intended to primarily pay for their Christmas purchases using their savings. Paying by credit card or through Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services were the following most popular payment options.
