Between January and September 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, drug stores in Italy registered an increase of 2.6 percent in their grocery sales volume, outdoing all other types of retail stores. Convenience stores, on the other hand, registered a decrease in sales of around 4.5 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
