Distribution of life insurance agents in India FY 2023, by gender

In the financial year 2023, about 76 percent of the agents associated with LIC, a public sector insurance provider in India were males. The gender ratio was slightly better for private sector insurance providers, where about 33 percent of the agents were females in the same year.
