In 2023, the need for greater flexibility was the main driver to revisit their strategic asset allocations (SAAs) for senior insurance executives across the globe. The share of seasoned insurance professionals who believed that the requirement for greater flexibility had prompted them to review their SAAs globally was 44 percent. The desire to invest in new asset classes and increasing risk appetite were also some of the key drivers that made senior insurance professionals revisit their SAA, with around 40 percent of insurance professionals doing so.
