Romanian railway transport
Romania experienced a decline in its railway infrastructure, with the total length of used railways reaching a decade-low at 10,615 kilometers in 2022. This coincided with a notable drop in railway freight traffic, which amounted to 55.1 million metric tons, marking a nearly 25 percent decrease since 2004. The most commonly transported goods via railway in Romania included coal, lignite, petrol, and natural gas. Notably, agricultural products from hunting and forestry saw a substantial increase in railway freight traffic. The revenue from freight rail transport is projected to reach approximately 788.7 million U.S. Dollars by 2025.
Car Market in Romania
