In 2020, cardiovascular disease was the cause of 37 percent of all deaths among women aged over 75 years in Italy, among men the same age, CVD caused 30.6 percent of deaths. The most common CVDs are heart attack, stroke, heart failure, arrhythmia, and heart valve complications.
