The number of visits to events organized by music venues in the Netherlands grew sharply in 2023 over the previous year, recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. While attendance at events organized by members of the Association of Dutch Music Venues and Festivals (VNPF) declined to under one million in 2021, it bounced back in 2022, then reached 5.77 million in 2023, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
