As of 2023, members of Lufthansa's customer loyalty programs collected 261 billion unredeemed bonus miles. A year earlier, this number stood at 245 billion, while in 2021, it amounted to around 225 billion. The miles expire at the end of the quarter 36 months after they are earned.
