In the second quarter of 2024, 18 to 39-year-olds in Europe surpassed those aged 40+ in their use of social media platforms to purchase luxury brand products or services. Around one-fifth of 18 to 39-year-olds use social media to purchase luxury products, while only 11 percent of shoppers aged 40 and over use social media for this purpose.
