According to a survey conducted about Christmas shopping expectations among Australian consumers in July 2024, the leading place shoppers intended to buy Christmas gifts from was online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, with almost 70 percent of respondents indicating this. Department stores were the next most popular shopping channel for purchasing presents among those surveyed.
