In an October 2023 survey conducted across six Southeast Asian countries, 65 percent of the respondents stated improvement of their appearance as a reason for them to consider or undergo cosmetic procedures such as botox treatment. Self-esteem was another common reason, as selected by 49 percent of the respondents.
