The deployment of solar photovoltaics in the United States is expected to grow more rapidly since the introduction of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). A total of 28 gigawatts are expected to be installed by the end of 2023. In contrast, previous forecasts estimated a new capacity of 25 gigawatts for that year. The difference is greater in 2027, when new solar installations are projected to amount to 47 gigawatts, up from 32 gigawatts in previous forecasts.
