A 2022 survey carried out in the United States showed that consumers preferred big marketplaces over social media to find inspiration and discover new products. Some 73 percent of surveyed consumers browsed Amazon site with this purpose. Another 47 percent of them did the same on Walmart, while 28 percent opted for Target. Facebook represented an exception with a preference rate of 31 percent, but Instagram and Tik Tok did not go over 24 and 16 percent, respectively.
