In a survey conducted about festive season shopping expectations among Australian consumers in September 2023, over two-fifths of those surveyed said they expected to spend the same amount during the 2023 holiday period as they had in 2022. Around three in ten respondents indicated they were planning to spend less during the 2023 festive season than they did in the previous year.
