Across all media channels and platforms in India, digital media saw the highest share of advertisements in violation of the guidelines set by the Advertising Standards Council of India at 85 percent in the financial year 2024. Print media followed with the next largest share of such ads. The ASCI is a self-regulatory body that governs advertisements across all media types and formats while working towards consumer protection.
